    In a powerful display of vulnerability, Hadid posted crying selfies along with a heartfelt message that quickly went viral on social media. Inspired by Willow Smith, daughter of American actor Will Smith, Hadid shed light on her own mental health struggles.

    In a video clip, Willow Smith expressed, “Feeling inadequate or insecure about your art is natural, but it’s also taught. Every human being is unique and has something special to offer. People forget that we all experience similar emotions: feeling lost, confused, and uncertain about our purpose. Everyone faces anxiety and attempts to conceal it in some way. But together, we can embrace our flaws, insecurities, joy, and happiness, and recognize them as beautiful and natural.”

    Hadid resonated deeply with Willow’s words, stating, “This is pretty much my everyday, every night for a few years now.” Appreciating Willow’s perspective, she added, “I love you and your words. They made me feel less alone, which is why I wanted to share this.”

    Hadid emphasized that social media is not an accurate representation of reality. She urged those who are struggling to remember this vital fact: “Sometimes, all you need to hear is that you’re not alone. So, from me to you, you’re not alone. I love you, I see you, and I hear you.”

    Advice for Coping with Mental Health Challenges

    Hadid offered some valuable advice to fans dealing with mental health issues. She acknowledged that self-help and managing mental illness or chemical imbalances is a non-linear process, akin to a rollercoaster ride filled with obstacles. There will be ups and downs, twists and turns. But she assured her followers that there is always light at the end of the tunnel, and the rollercoaster eventually comes to a stop.

    Sharing her own journey, Hadid confessed that it took her a long time to come to terms with her condition, despite the glamorous image portrayed in the media. Her countless breakdowns and burnouts have taught her that by dedicating time to self-reflection, understanding personal traumas, triggers, joys, and routines, individuals can gain insight into their own pain and learn how to manage it. This self-understanding is all one can ask for. Hadid concluded her heartfelt post by expressing her gratitude for being seen and heard, saying, “I love you.”
