In a video clip, Willow Smith expressed, “Feeling inadequate or insecure about your art is natural, but it’s also taught. Every human being is unique and has something special to offer. Hadid offered some valuable advice to fans dealing with mental health issues. She acknowledged that self-help and managing mental illness or chemical imbalances is a non-linear process, akin to a rollercoaster ride filled with obstacles. There will be ups and downs, twists and turns. But she assured her followers that there is always light at the end of the tunnel, and the rollercoaster eventually comes to a stop.
Sharing her own journey, Hadid confessed that it took her a long time to come to terms with her condition, despite the glamorous image portrayed in the media. Her countless breakdowns and burnouts have taught her that by dedicating time to self-reflection, understanding personal traumas, triggers, joys, and routines, individuals can gain insight into their own pain and learn how to manage it. This self-understanding is all one can ask for. Hadid concluded her heartfelt post by expressing her gratitude for being seen and heard, saying, “I love you.”
Sometimes, opening up and sharing our truth is the only way to confront our mental health challenges. Remember, you are not alone in this journey.
