Amp up Sun Protection
Sun protection is the foundation of any skincare routine, regardless of age or how busy you are. Dermatologists recommend wearing sunscreen with SPF 30 and above, both indoors and outdoors. Remember to cover up your skin when you’re outside, wearing gloves, eyewear, and hats. Avoid stepping out between 10 am to 3 pm, when the sun’s rays are the strongest.

Wash with a Gentle Cleanser
Using a gentle cleanser with a low pH helps remove pollutants and oils from the skin without stripping away its natural moisture.
Pat the Serum on Your Skin
Consider using serums with ingredients like retinol and vitamin C to fight the signs of aging. These ingredients have been proven to be effective in reducing fine lines and wrinkles.
Moisturize without Fail
Daily moisturizing is essential, especially after washing your face or hands. Dryness is one of the earliest signs of aging, but a good moisturizer can easily fix this problem. Look for ingredients like glycerin and hyaluronic acid in your moisturizer for maximum hydration.

Exfoliating helps remove dead skin cells from your face, revealing a brighter and smoother complexion. Use a gentle exfoliator once a week to keep your skin looking fresh.
Get Enough Sleep
Getting sufficient sleep allows your body to refresh and renew itself. Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep to help your skin rejuvenate.
Eat Healthy and Drink Enough Water
A balanced diet and proper hydration play a vital role in maintaining healthy skin. Include plenty of fruits and vegetables in your diet, and drink enough water to keep your skin hydrated and glowing.
Protect Your Skin from Trauma
Switching your pillow cover to silk or satin can help prevent deep sleep wrinkles. Additionally, avoid rubbing, tugging, or pinching your face when washing or applying skincare products. Treat your skin gently to minimize premature aging.
Apart from these simple skincare tips, you can also try some anti-aging home remedies in your 30s.
1. For Pigmentation and Discoloration
- 2 tbsp almond powder
- 1 tsp dried orange peel powder
- 1 tsp oatmeal
- 1 tsp grated potato
- ½ tsp lemon juice
- Some full-fat cream milk
Mix all the ingredients, except the milk, to create a thick paste. Apply it on your face and neck, leaving it on until semi-dry. Wet your hands with milk and gently rub off the mask in circular motions. Almonds and oranges are rich in vitamins C, E, and retinol, which help exfoliate and counteract the effects of the sun. Oatmeal nourishes the skin, while potato brightens it.
2. For Even Skin Tone
- 3-4 strands of saffron soaked overnight in two teaspoons of water
- 1 tsp milk
- A pinch of sugar
- 3-4 drops of coconut oil

Mix all the ingredients well and dip a piece of bread into the mixture. Use the bread to apply the pack on your face. Leave it on for 15 minutes and wash off with cold water. Repeat this two to three times a week. Saffron infused with iron, potassium, calcium, zinc, and vitamins A, C, and niacin can improve blood circulation in the skin, resulting in a more even skin tone.
3. For Neck Wrinkles
- ½ cup fresh pineapple juice
Massage the juice on your neck in an upward direction for five minutes, then wash it off. Pineapple is rich in antioxidants and works wonders on the thin skin of the neck. It also promotes collagen production and improves skin elasticity.
4. For Early Wrinkles
- 2 tsp ground turmeric
- ¼ cup sugarcane juice
Mix and apply the mixture on your face, neck, and hands. Leave it on for a few minutes and gently scrub it off. Turmeric heals the skin and stimulates collagen production, while sugarcane exfoliates the skin.
5. For Forehead Lines
- A few drops of jojoba oil
Massage the oil on your forehead in an upward motion for five minutes. Relax for 20 minutes and wash off the oil with lukewarm water. Jojoba oil penetrates the deep layers of the skin, acting as a liquid wax. It is rich in vitamin E and prevents free radical damage.
Remember, if you have persistent skin problems, it’s always best to consult a dermatologist for proper treatment before trying any home remedies or new products.
So ladies, it’s time to embrace these simple beauty hacks and look ageless in your 30s!
