K Beauty lovers, here’s a list of good kitchen stuff to get skin like Koreans

By NCVC Staff | Published on Sep 23, 2023

Have you ever wondered about the secrets behind the radiant and flawless skin of Koreans? The tales of their blinding glow have spread far and wide, making Korean beauty the talk of the town. If you’re a skincare enthusiast, you probably already know about the Korean beauty industry’s significance. The Koreans are famous for their bright and translucent skin that seems to reflect light like glass.

To help you achieve the coveted Korean skin, Health Shots reached out to Shahnaz Husain, the beauty mogul and founder of The Shahnaz Husain Group. According to Husain, you can follow a basic skincare routine to attain blemish-free, clear, and bright skin similar to Koreans. Korean beauty has long relied on home remedies to achieve the highly sought-after glass skin. Here are five Shahnaz Husain-approved remedies that guarantee results:

    1. Rice Flour and Aloe Vera Face Mask

Rice flour is renowned for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It combats aging, reduces UV damage, and brightens the skin tone. Moreover, aloe vera eliminates acne, moisturizes the skin, and lightens blemishes.

    How to use:

To create a mild scrub, mix 3 tablespoons of finely powdered rice flour with 2 teaspoons of freshly extracted aloe vera pulp. Add cold water to create a paste. Apply this scrub on your face and neck using a brush or clean fingers. Let it partially dry before washing it off with cold water. Not only does this scrub soothe and refresh your skin immediately, but it also provides the desired results in the quality and radiance of your skin. Use this mask at least once or twice a week.

    2. Fermented Rice Water Face Mist

Rice is not only a staple grain in Asian cuisine but also renowned for its beauty-enhancing properties. Fermented rice is a permanent ingredient in many Korean and East Asian beauty regimens. It is a well-kept secret to achieve Korean-like skin. Rice water decreases UV skin damage, promotes collagen formation, and reverses signs of aging like fine lines and wrinkles, giving you a flawless glow.

    How to use:

Collect the water from boiled rice and allow it to cool completely. Pour the rice water into a spray bottle. You can also use the water from soaked rice for this remedy. Let the rice soak in water overnight, drain it the next morning, and allow the water to ferment for 2-3 days before using it as a face mist in the morning and before bed.

    3. Green Tea Facial Rinse

Green tea, rich in antioxidants, is an excellent ingredient for skincare. It moisturizes the skin, treats acne, and reduces wrinkles. The polyphenols and catechins present in green tea make it a powerful anti-aging and pore-refining ingredient. Tightening the pores is a fundamental step in the Korean skincare regime.

    How to use:

Boil some tea leaves to make a cup of green tea as usual. Let the tea cool completely and use it as the final rinse after washing your face each time. This detoxifies your skin and helps get rid of pimples and breakouts. For the best results, rinse your face with this green tea at least twice a day.

    4. Lemon and Strawberry Face Mask

This mask is the easiest way to achieve Korean-like skin. Lemon’s antioxidant properties and vitamin C content prevent skin damage and premature aging. Strawberry, a potent astringent, has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant qualities that can cure acne, protect your skin from UV rays, and exfoliate dead skin cells.

    How to use:

Combine two drops of lemon juice, 1 mashed strawberry, and 1 tablespoon of homemade yogurt. Apply the mask on your face and neck, and let it work its magic for 30 minutes before rinsing it off. Instantly, your skin will feel nourished, radiant, and revitalized. Repeat this technique twice a week for optimal results.

    5. Invest in a Washcloth

For gentle exfoliation, use a washcloth to achieve Korean-like skin. Dip the cloth in warm water and scrub your skin in gentle circular motions. This age-old exfoliation method is a tried-and-true alternative to abrasive scrubs and chemical peels available in the market.

In conclusion, these simple remedies can help you attain the coveted glass skin glow at home. However, don’t forget to prioritize sun protection by wearing sunscreen, hats, and scarves to shield your skin from harmful UV rays. Hydration is also essential, so make sure to drink plenty of water and fresh juices every day. Additionally, include water-rich seasonal vegetables and fruits in your diet for optimal skin health.
